In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dunu Roy professes to have been educated as a chemical engineer. The practice of rural and urban development over five decades made him a social scientist by compulsion. But he chooses to remain a student of political ecology. Currently he coordinates the activities of the Hazards Centre in Delhi that provides technical support to all communities at risk.

Nuthan Manohar

Evidence based Wellness Coach

A Therapeutic Perfumer & Sleep Whisperer, Nuthan Manohar is also the adjunct faculty at IIM Kozhikode on Wellbeing and a TEDx speaker on therapeutic perfumes. She is the Founder of Me Met Me and Ease Bioessence, IIM B-backed startups. She has been the recipient of several state and international awards for her pioneering approach to wellbeing. Her social project for Chennai Floods got acknowledged as a best practice at UNDP (Anbodu Kochi). She has also been associated with wellness trainings for organizations like LinkedIn, Discovery Channel, Indian Navy, Nirbhaya, etc.

Rahul Basu

Researcher

Rahul Basu is the Research Director of Goa Foundation and a member of The Future We Need, a global movement to make intergenerational equity foundational for civilization. He is also one of the founding members of the Mineral Inheritors Rights Association (MIRA). He has a Bachelors in Economics from SRCC, Delhi University, a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad and has worked extensively in the financial sector. Rahul is a member of the Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE) and has written multiple papers on minerals, intergenerational equity and the resource curse. Rahul has driven a correction to international standards for government accounting & statistics for mineral wealth, which has resulted in the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) working on a new IPSAS on Natural Resources, and a Guidance Note on Accounting for Economic Ownership and Depletion of Natural Resources for the UN SNA & the IMF GFSM.
