My interest in the field of psychology began in high school. I learned, based on my own experiences with mental health and the assistance I was able to provide for my friends who confided in me, that becoming a psychologist was the career I felt a calling towards. Mauryce's ultimate goal is to receive a master's degree in child psychology, open a private practice, and provide a safe space for Black youth.
