Theme: Inertia

TEDxYouth@DAA's theme for this year is inertia: the tendency to remain unchanged. This year's talks range from scientific explorations of inertia to the social implications of remaining unchanged and from the powerful inertia found in familial love to the ways team sports cultivates positive trajectories. This year's event has two sessions and a 20-minute intermission. Tickets are available through our Instagram account TEDxDAA.

Alexandra Massi

Alexandra Massi is a senior at GEMS Dubai American Academy. She has participated in the school sports teams of volleyball, football, and softball since 6th grade.

At age 17 years Hachem Fattouh is a student in his second year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma program. Boisterous, charismatic, and intensely curious about all things, especially science he aspires to become a doctor of science in fields such as computer science and astrophysics, and others.

Jude Tawfik

Jude Tawfik is currently seventeen-years-old and in her first year as an IBDP student at GEMS Dubai American Academy. She is from Egypt but has lived in Dubai for her whole life. She is an only child and lives with her mom, grandma, and dog. She loves painting and playing volleyball and football as well as music and traveling. She is super excited to be a speaker at the TEDxYouth@DAA event this year!

Ludovica Cau

Student at GEMS Dubai American Academy

Ludovica Cau comes from Rome, Italy and she currently is 15 years old. Additionally, she is a Grade 10 student at the Dubai American Academy in the United Arab Emirates. Ludovica is a determined student and she is particularly interested in her studies. She is mostly passionate about the scientific subjects which include biology, chemistry and also psychology. Her dream in fact is to become a doctor when she is older as she would love to help others and improve their lives through her profession.

Miraya Aggarwal

Miraya Aggarwal is a 16 year old, in her sophomore year of highschool. She’s Indian by origin and grew up in the city of Mumbai. Growing up she was a spirited kid who found great joy in learning and crafting draft business plans .In the future she hopes to work in business, specifically analysis and strategy.
