Abul Kalam Hasan Tagar

Entrepreneur, Chairman, Halima Group

Abul Kalam Hasan Tagar, Chairman of Halima Group, started Halima Telecom in the name of his mother. He started the journey of the first mobile accessories industry in Bangladesh by importing goods from abroad with only three employees. These institutions currently employ over a thousand people, most of whom are poorly educated women. From the very beginning, Halima Group has been playing a special role in women's empowerment. Women who were once oppressed, abused, and neglected in society, these less educated women have become skilled workers today. This organization plays an important role not only in economic expansion but also in the socio-economic progress of the country. At the finale of the inaugural ceremony, a splendid cultural program and fireworks were organized. The music of the cultural program was performed by eminent entertainers from home and abroad.

Dr. Monzur Hossain

Professor Md. Monzur Hossain is a highly accomplished and respected scientist and educator. He is a Professor of Botany at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, and has been a leading figure in the field of plant physiology for many years. He is also a dedicated teacher and mentor, and has inspired countless students to pursue careers in science. As one of the highlights of his research, he is one of the artisans behind the revival of one of the oldest and historical marvels of Bengal, Muslin cloth. This great man with incredible humanitarian qualities was the founder head of a business organization named Akafuji Agrotechnology whose profits are used to run a humanitarian school named AloAsha, which works exclusively for the development of underprivileged children. He is a true asset to the University of Rajshahi and to the country of Bangladesh.

Dr. Nowshad Amin

Researcher on Renewable Energy

Dr. Nowshad Amin is a Professor and Researcher of Renewable Energy, specifically Solar Energy. Professor Amin recently served as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Science and Technology Chittagong, Bangladesh from March to July 2023. Prior to this, he worked at the College of Engineering of Universiti Tenaga Nasional (@UNITEN, The National Energy University) of Malaysia for over 5 years. He also led the "Solar Energy Research Unit" under the Institute of Sustainable Energy) at the same university. He also worked over 11 years in the Dept. of Electrical, Electronic & Systems Engineering of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (@UKM, The National University of Malaysia), where he also led the Solar Photovoltaic Research Group under the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI-UKM) from November 2006 till January 2018. He has also been acting as an "Honorary Professor" of the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB) of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) since March 2021.
