Lorenzo Sbordoni
Historian and International Politician
I'm 17 years old, and I'm in my last year of high school. I have a passion for history and international politics that can be traced back to elementary school, where the social sciences were already my favorite subjects. This remained true throughout my scholastic career and will likely continue. As a result of this, I plan to apply to college for an undergraduate degree in international relations. I have also been able to cultivate my passion for these subjects through MUN in which through the various conferences I’ve attended. I’ve been able to research and learn on a lot of topics such as the one I'll talk about today. I chose my topic regarding India and China's recent economic success as I find all of the information around it interesting and often not discussed. This is even though the empires that inhabited modern-day India and China had amongst the biggest economies for a large part of medieval and modern history.
Omar Taliti

Pietro Gazzola
From Debate to Rowing, navigating Politics and Life
My name is Pietro Gazzola and this is my second TedX talk at AOSR, I love this program as it gives a strong occasion to hear out young voices. Until now I have always been interested in politics, debate, world affairs, but also economics, and innovation. I value the importance of debating and questioning all kinds of topics as this has also pushed me in class discussions and in my personal life, in which I love traveling and am a rower on a team here in Rome.
Virginia Fara Pennisi
A futuring wise woman, starting from her ideals to work on ideas’ progression
I’m a 10th Grader in High School at AOSR of Rome.
I’m originally from Apulia- proud of my land, that gifted to my personality the solarity of sunrise. I’m better known to my friends as Ginger; a funny nickname given to me by my Grandma since I was in belly.
About socials, I can say that I’m more a “millennial old-lady” than a Tweeting-X girl. Surely, I will not be an influencer but I would love to spread positive and influential ideas in the next future!
Effectively, I prefer reading classic masterpieces, while stroking the book skin cover or my cat “Covid”s fur. My motto is: “Life is the train and not the station”... and I like traveling!
I’m OLD...15 years old (exactly as my favorite song “Hotel California”), or like Emmeline Pankhurst, my “idol”, when she attended her 1st suffragette convention.
Hopefully, this TedX will end better for me, as she usually finished in jail...
