Brenna Horton

Brenna is a resilient college student and aspiring educator from Parowan, Utah. As an Elementary Education major at SUU and the Music Specialist at North Elementary, Brenna brings a unique perspective to TEDX. Having faced the dragon that is social anxiety over the past decade, she shares powerful lessons on self-efficacy and doing hard things, offering inspiration for others on their own journeys.
Bret Nelson
Managing Director of Aggregate Coaching
Bret is the Managing Director of Aggregate Coaching, where he coaches and partners with organizations across the globe supporting them with strategic planning, people strategy, merger integration, change management and sales optimization. Bret holds a Master of Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and a Bachelor of Arts degree in interpersonal communication and management from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah.
David Hatch
Director of Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies at Southern Utah University
David directs the Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies degree at SUU. He came to SUU from the University of South Carolina, where he taught English and Film for twelve years. He did a lot of theatre in Charleston with his daughters. He also likes to fence, play the guitar, and read.
Holly Biesinger
Southern Utah University srudent
Holly is an aspiring artist and scholar, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree as a senior. She will complete a double major in Art Education and History this spring. Accompanied by minors in Painting/Drawing/Printmaking, Art History, Illustrations and History Teaching, she also complements her studies with the esteemed Grace A. Tanner Certificate in Human Values. Earlier this month she presented a piece of her original scholarly history research at the Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research.
Laura Walker
English Professor at Southern Utah University
Laura (she/her) teaches in the English department at SUU. Originally from Southern California by way of Flagstaff, Arizona, she's learned to love all sorts of landscapes, including the beaches of her home state, the ponderosa pine forests of Northern Arizona, and the stunning view of Cedar Mountain from her office window. When she's not outdoors, you can find her hanging out with her nieces and nephew, drinking copious amount of tea, or reading and writing ghost stories.
