In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Gailina -

Digital Creator
My name is Gailina! I am a full time college student and digital creator from the east side of Oklahoma City, OK. I graduate with a marketing degree in May 2024. I was paralyzed from the chest down in January of 2020 and it's stopped absolutely nothing. Without having access to physical therapy, today I'm able to walk short distances with a cane after being told I may never walk again. I believe that a large part of my healing has come from my everlasting optimism and absence of self doubt. After being paralyzed I enrolled myself back into college, started my own business, released my first music video, I’m starring in a children’s book, and I now have the honor of doing my very own TEDx Talk. I’m hoping that people can look at my story, what I’ve gone through, and what I’ve achieved and be inspired and motivated to push forward and excel.

Todd's life journey is a testament to the power of unwavering faith and determination. In 1992, Todd faced a life-altering setback with a broken neck. Rather than succumbing to adversity, he used it as a stepping stone to greatness. His unwavering belief in returning to the football field drove him forward, even when the odds seemed insurmountable. His dedication and skill earned him the distinction of a two-time All-Conference player and a crucial part of the Back-to-Back Lone Star Conference Champions. Guided by the mottos "Love the Journey" and "Leave His Legacy," Todd's approach to life emphasizes embracing every moment and making a positive impact on the world. His story is a reminder that no dream is too far-fetched when fueled by unwavering belief and commitment.
