Leading us will be Björn Siesjö (City Architect, Gothenburg), Eric Jeansson (Geo Data Strategist, Virtual Gothenburg), Nafiseh Kazemi (Gothenburg University, M.Sc in Atmospheric Science, Climate & Ecosystem), and moderator Åsa Rindbäck (International House Gothenburg).

Åsa Rindbäck

Career Guidance Counselor, International House Gothenburg

Åsa is a leader, career guidance counselor, and personal development coach at Sweden's pioneering International House in Gothenburg. She provides assistance to notably skilled individuals as they embark on their journey to work and reside in the vibrant Gothenburg region. She focuses on conducting workshops, organizing events, and offering personalized career advice, all aimed at facilitating a seamless integration into the Swedish job market.

Björn Siesjö

City Architect, Gothenburg

Björn Siesjö is a Swedish architect and since February 2012, the City Architect for Gothenburg, Sweden. Siesjö started in the 1970s as an apprentice bricklayer in Lund and then worked as a bricklayer in the early 1980s. He moved to Gothenburg in 1982, where he took an architecture degree at Chalmers in 1992. Together with two companions, he founded the architectural firm Kanozi on Järntorget in 2002. He has worked at White and Liljewalls architectural firms, among others. Siesjö has worked with urban planning, industrial buildings, schools, offices, homes and villas. He has taught at Chalmers and won several architectural competitions, among others: Masthusen, Västra Hamnen in Malmö and the Station area in Norra Hamnen in Malmö. He has studied English and theoretical philosophy at the University of Gothenburg and is also fluent in French, Portuguese and Spanish.

Eric Jeansson

Geo Data Strategist at City Planning Authority, City of Gothenburg & Chairman of Geoforum Sverige

Eric Jeansson has a professional background of 10 years as a GIS analyst in the technical consulting industry as project leader in GI application development and GIS analysis (including work focused on adapting Multicriteria decision for location analysis) and additionally 10 years as GIS manager and Geo Data strategist in the City of Gothenburg. As a Geo Data strategist In City of Gothenburg he is responsible for making Gothenburg a Smart and sustainable city by using geo data. He is responsible for the development of new techniques for visualization and citizen dialogue, like the world unique My City portal (minstad.goteborg.se). He has also, as the first municipality in Sweden, introduced procedural modeling, City Information Modeling and the concept of Digital Twins in the urban planning process. Eric Jeansson is also chairman of Geoforum Sverige, a national organisation promoting benefits of using geo data in the society.

Nafiseh Kazemi

Masters Graduate, Gothenburg University

Nafiseh Kazemi, a recent graduate with a Master's degree in Atmospheric Sciences, Climate, and Ecosystem with a Sustainable perspective from the University of Gothenburg, is passionate about addressing climate challenges. Her master’s thesis, conducted in collaboration with the sustainability committee at the University of Gothenburg, focused on Climate Neutrality and Net Zero initiatives. She spearheaded efforts to measure carbon footprint and enhance energy efficiency across university departments and campuses, aligning with governmental goals for 2045.
