Thereafter, he joined the National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla, Pune for his graduation Commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1994, he joined the submariner arm, he is a weapons specialist and has served on numerous ships and submarines. After his last stint at the Naval Headquarters, he decided to swallow "the anchor" in 2016. His interests include traveling, sports, reading and Contract Bridge.
