In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Sean has always been fascinated by storytelling. He shares key experiences with storytelling in his TEDx Talk and discusses why it’s so important to him, his family, and for human connection. Sean is an international educator who has worked in various countries for over two decades. He is passionate about building community and creating large-scale performance opportunities for his students. He believes his role as an educator is to help students learn about themselves, each other, and the world, with the hope of fostering an open-minded, inclusive, and kind future.
