Dr. Ashok Rajgopal

Orthopaedic Surgeon
One of India’s foremost orthopaedic surgeons, with a career spanning over 45 years, Dr. Ashok Rajgopal has revolutionized the field of orthopaedic surgery, performing more than 35,000 total knee replacements. His unparalleled expertise has earned him the Padmashri, one of India’s highest civilian honors. As the Honorary Surgeon to the Honorable President of India, Dr. Rajgopal has not only pioneered surgical techniques but has also treated top athletes, bringing his skills to the world of sports medicine. His dedication to research and the development of knee implants continues to push the boundaries of orthopaedic care, including the creation of the Persona Knee system. Beyond medicine, he is a keen harmonica player with a wide following and also runs an NGO called the Rajgopal Foundation, which provides orthopedic treatments for people in need. The foundation also supports the education of children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

As Secretary, Youth Affairs, Government of India, Meeta Rajivlochan is tasked with developing policies and programs to empower youth and to build an enabling eco-system for youth to move forward and realise their aspirations. Meeta Rajivlochan has a long experience in helping people empower themselves in various ways. She has spent more than thirty four years in the civil service working towards policies that empower people. As Secretary, Youth Affairs, she has facilitated the launch of a youth portal MyBharat.gov.in to connect youth with programs, opportunities and mentors, and enable them to build networks that are valuable to the youth. With over fifty articles in peer reviewed journals, three books on public policy, she continues to write and lecture extensively. Her latest book ‘Making India Great Again: Learning from our History’ talks about the achievements of technology in Indian history.

As an athlete with the Indian women’s hockey team, she shattered the notion that Indian women can’t compete at the highest level of sport after giving birth. She continues to help other girls who have a passion for hockey and ensure that they don’t suffer the same restrictions and problems that she did.

Rubina Francis

Bronze Medalist (Pistol Shooting) Paris 2024 Paralympics
Rubina Francis is India’s First Female Pistol Para-Shooting Medallist. Her exceptional achievement at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, becoming the first Indian woman to win a medal in pistol shooting, marks a historic milestone for Indian para-sports. She was born with leg dysfunction and faced financial constraints as her father, Simon Francis, struggled to support her passion for shooting. Inspired by Gagan Narang’s Olympic achievements, Rubina began her shooting career in 2015. She surmounted significant challenges to excel in para-shooting thereafter and has made history at the Paris 2024 Paralympics by winning the bronze medal in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 event, which is for athletes with upper and/or lower limb impairments. This achievement highlights a new chapter in Indian sports history, celebrating Rubina's groundbreaking success and her role as a trailblazer for future athletes.

Shreeyash is a bright and versatile student of Class XI at Vivekanand School. He has consistently excelled in both academics and extracurriculars. He’s been a standout participant in the Delhi Robotics League, a zonal winner at the CBSE National Science Exhibition, and a multiple-time medalist in the International Science and Maths Olympiads. Achieving an impressive 95.6% in Class 10 CBSE, including a perfect score in Social Science, he’s also co-authored the book “The Colours of Dreams” and even served as a Radio Jockey at 94.3 Radio One.
