Theme: Free Your Mind

We believe that TEDx University of Lodz should be a medium to invoke creativity and critical reasoning among the people living in Łódź and beyond. We want to challenge the existing norms and conventions under the theme “Free Your Mind”. Our goal is to stimulate thinking outside of the box, motivate originality and encourage paradigm shifting ideas which enlighten. We hope to make people ask more questions about the world and reality in which they're living after attending our event. See you there!!

Alicja Zalecińska

Nutrition Specialist

Human nutrition specialist, doctoral student, 3-time World Champion in traditional karate, winner of Ultimate Karate League Champion (India), dancer. She works with patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases, patients suffering from autoimmune diseases, as well as with Olympic athletes, dancers and professional athletes. Traditional karate trainer, 2nd Dan rank with 22 years of training experience and 7 years of coaching experience, 3-time world champion in traditional karate, 7-time European champion, winner of UKL (Ultimate Karate League) in India, Lucknow.

Archit Sachdeva

Public Speaker

Archit Sachdeva is a 21-year-old Sheffield-based storyteller whose work intersects storytelling, technology, and community advocacy. Rooted in his Indian heritage, Archit is known for his radically creative approach to fostering real-life connections and enhancing community cohesion. His diverse pursuits include performing in prominent city venues, chairing his local public speaking club, and inspiring youth through storytelling. With a growing digital footprint—1.2K subscribers and over 100,000 views—Archit combines his love for Alfred Adler's and Socrates' philosophies to challenge conventional norms and promote genuine interpersonal relationships. Passionate about making real-world connections in an era dominated by social media, he is dedicated to creating local community gatherings and sharing transformative insights through his forthcoming book.

Bartosz Skupiński

Young Psychologist

Young psychologist, recent graduate of the University of Łódź, with a great passion for theories of mind, sports and philosophy, among other seemingly unrelated topics. The combination of these various interests allows him to look at the world in an interdisciplinary way, seeing connections where - at first glance - only separate phenomena are visible. Mathematics also holds an important place in his life, with its abstract concepts and relentless honesty, which applies to everyone regardless of human will. At TEDx University of Lodz, Bartek will present several counterintuitive mathematical concepts and their consequences for our perception of the world.

Dawid Gościk

Owner

Co-owner of a language agency, business consultant, content creator and a mentor with expertise in long-term work with people of all ages. Educated in management and HR, and with a personal background of a dysfunctional business family. A 32 year old bilingual with Asperger's and ADHD, who couldn't find his place in the world of adults, so he created his own small business world where he combines several areas. Believes that in the world dominated by algorithms and AI the antidote is the creation of communities.

Dominik Skowroński

Lecturer

Dominik Skowroński, Ph.D. an enthusiast of organization design in the era of artificial intelligence. Conducts classes at the University of Lodz (Poland) and the University of RheinMain in Wiesbaden (Germany). Certified as a tutor at Ghent University (Belgium) and a business trainer from the SET Group. Holder of the “Educational Leader” and “Train the Trainer” certificates from the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Author of the book “Measurement of Organizational Autonomy” published in 2023.

Hubertus Weyer

Lecturer

Hubertus Weyer is an enthusiast of communication. Previously, Hubertus worked in the steel industry in Germany and currently has a position as coordinator of the Business English and Communications Section at Wiesbaden Business School. The focus of his work is to combine innovative approaches to learning as a collaborative process of communication, internationalization as well as business studies. Personally, He has a strong relationship to North America and enjoys traveling and meeting friends.

Iga Pawlikowska

Student

Amateur actress and illustrator fascinated by medieval manuscript art and the history of medicine. Advocates for social justice and inclusiveness to empower disadvantaged groups and allow each individual’s uniqueness to thrive in society. Her need and striving for cooperation and self-expression, combined with a passion for design, made her set up the “Po Czwarte” school paper of which she is the chief editor. Currently an IBDP student at the IV Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Łódź.

Jakub Krzysiak

Social Entrepreneur

Jakub Krzysiak is a social entrepreneur interested in the intersection of education, technology & innovation. He is driven by the idea of democratising access to opportunities. Having graduated London School of Economics and Political Science, Jakub returned to his hometown of Łódź to share a global perspective. He founded 13. Klasa – a series of mentoring meetings that evolved into an education non-profit supporting the youth in fulfilling their potential. When not running workshops for the NGO, Jakub is active in the edtech space - building an AI-powered startup Chatheroes increasing accessibility to personalised teaching.

Katarzyna Leszczyńska-Bohdan

Executive & Business Coach

Mentor, organizational psychologist. She works with founders and leaders to operate effectively, regardless of changing business conditions, project complexity or intense emotions, equipping them to work calmly and on their own terms. She also accompanies and coaches teams in strengthening effectiveness and building better communication. For the past 15 years, she has gathered experience in, among other things, creating and coordinating teams, managing budgets and change, designing startup MVPs, building and implementing business communication strategies and development programs. However, she primarily works with people, and since 2015 has focused on those in IT and startups.

Marcin Świsłowski

Book author

As a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, he began his professional career in multinational corporations. Then returned to his hometown, where he founded and ran a company in the real estate industry, at the same time, involved in the development of his wife's enterprise focused on children's education - the Polish Academy of Activity and Personal Development. Marcin is an author of the books “Advise - and you will never have to sell again” and also “Let's start with a minute of mindfulness”, published together with his wife in 2023. As an entrepreneur, he proves how seemingly unattractive mindfulness translates into efficiency, creativity, the quality of our communication and relationships. Now, based on the book, as well as the results of the latest scientific research, he supports entrepreneurs and their employees in achieving greater business efficiency.

Paweł Rygielski

Financial specialist

For 44 years, his interests has been mainly related to finance, from collecting numismatic coins to learning in detail about the history and understanding the future development of money. For 20 years, he has been involved in the financial market, from the capital market to the money market, holding positions ranging from disposers, advisors, or specialists in mutual funds and brokerage houses. For 4 years he has been involved in school and after-school education titled: “Young Financial Independents”, in a wide range of areas, from classroom and extracurricular activities in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, to intimate family workshops. For the past 1.5 years, together with his older son Patryk, they have authored a book for children, teenagers and parents: “The Language of Money, or Mom, Dad Let's Talk About Money, Earning and Saving,” where they collected all the knowledge from school meetings and presented it in a book as messenger correspondence.

Przemysław Damski

Przemyslaw Piotr Damski is a didactician by passion, a proponent of descriptive assessments. Academically, he is interested in the Arctic and emotions in international relations and the history of international relations; he works as an assistant professor in the Department of Theory and History of International Relations at the University of Łódź. He is happiest spending time with his wife and two daughters. Lately he has been reading Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive and listening to progressive rock.To the surprise of his family, he reads Philosophy of Science to sleep.

Robert Fintak

Robert Fintak Co-founder of the Hutchinson Institute and ILS Lions Group. Entrepreneur, innovator and promoter of modern technologies. As a passionate advocate of pro-human currents, he implemented a turquoise culture into organisations before they were officially so named A graduate of MBA studies at Koźmiński Academy, European Academy of Diplomacy and a doctoral student at the Faculty of Management, Technical University of Lodz. In 2014 he was awarded the title of VIP graduate of the University of Lodz. He is currently the president of the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems. Rotarian and volunteer.

I am a web developer and digital marketer with experience in journalism. I love helping people, which is what motivates me. That’s why I founded the Code Your Path Foundation, with a mission to help 1 million refugees and migrants gain education in IT. I believe that proper education and investment in it can make the world a better place for everyone. I enjoy connecting with new talent, cooking, singing, and taking walks.
