Ruoyin Hao (Audrey) is a student in Year 11 at the British School of Beijing, Shunyi. Her talk, "Making points into lines, lines into planes," raises the following question: Do we need an ultimate result in our lives? She doesn't think so. Her experiences taught her to see the world with simple joy and purity. This perspective pulled her back from the abyss of perfectionism, utilitarian thinking, and endless vanity and allowed her to see and approach art in a new, more authentic, way.
