Alexander Voigt, Physicist & Entrepreneur
In the 1980s, while studying math and physics, Alexander Voigt developed climate models that revealed the severe impact of CO₂ emissions. This sparked a 30-year journey founding companies to advance renewable energy. His ventures helped pioneer Germany's solar industry, with one reaching a €5 billion market cap and global leadership in photovoltaics. Now, with HH2E, Voigt is converting surplus wind and solar into green hydrogen, targeting 4 GW of production in Germany by 2030 and revitalizing the solar sector.
Carla Hinrichs
Carla Hinrichs grew up environmentally aware. Her sense of injustice led her to become politically involved with Amnesty International and within school.
She studied law up to her first state exam. Since 2021, she has interrupted her studies to devote herself full-time to the resistance against the collapse of livelihoods on the planet. She co-founded the Last Generation and acted as spokesperson and in the strategy group, among other things. Carla has been in court several times for her peaceful protest and was given a suspended sentence. Despite this, she is determined to continue her campaign.
Chen Gong
Dr. Chris Gong, trained as a physicist at Caltech and the University of Potsdam, is part of the international climate policy, energy system lab, and global energy transition teams at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). Her work focuses on energy transition pathways for China, India, and globally. Previously, she modeled hourly dispatch optimization in climate mitigation models and developed transition pathways for China. Currently, she leads three projects: developing a global 1.5°C pathway, designing national NDC pathways for China and India, and coupling climate mitigation with power sector models for China. She is also co-authoring a book on "Greening the Growth Model" with political economists from Germany and the U.S.

James Chatburn
James Chatburn, a songwriter, vocalist, and producer, moved to Berlin in 2015, quickly establishing himself in independent music. By 2021, he became a sought-after producer, and in 2022 released his defining record, Late Night Howling. With a new album on the horizon, 2024 marks his return to live performance for his dedicated fans.

Judith Klose
