Bhuva Shakti

Risk Advisor, Bhuva's Impact Global
In the late 80s, the computer science degree was first offered in India. I was one of the first women to enroll. In the early 90s, the next town was one of the first to offer an all-female school. I was one of the first women to travel to seek out higher education. In the 80s and 90s, the unwritten rule in India was: “it is a waste of time and money to educate women.” I was one of the first women in the community to emigrate to the US. You could call me a “risk-taker.” After a 20 year career on Wall Street, managing risk for clients, I have hung out my own shingle. I have a daughter. I'm teaching her to be a risk taker too.

Katie Goar

President, Quadel
I was homeless at one point in my life. I know intimately, what housing insecurity feels like. Today, I am President at Quadel, working to help housing authorities across the country create safer communities for the younger version of me. Having worked in this industry for nearly three decades, I've seen how a safe home can radically change people's lives.

Tasneem Husain

I have a 17 year history of working in Information Technology Security Specialist with skills in Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, IT Governance, Business Continuity Management/Disaster Recovery, Data Protection, Identity and Access Management, Incident Management and Response. Today, at Intuit, I ensure our technology keeps your privacy and data safe.

Victoria Kirk

Executive Director, Customer Insight & Strategy, Connectar Design Strategy
I’m an American living in Britain. I'm raising half-Indian, half-American kids by way of marriage. Viv asked me the other day “What am I?” I thought deeply about my answer to my 7 year old daughter. My answer to her also informs the work I do today. I help companies in finance, technology, healthcare, and manufacturing speak to the minority user of their service or product. Not just the majority. I help companies tailor the message so the minority receives it. Understands it. Buys it. Just as I worked with my daughter that day to help her understand who she is and why people ask those kinds of questions.
