Theme: TEDxWomen 2012 - The Space Between

We are thrilled to bring the passion, spirit and energy that is TEDxWomen to the Seattle metro area. This year’s theme for TEDxWomen is “The Space Between”, which will deepen the conversation started at the previous TEDxWomen conferences—how women are less likely to approach subjects from a black-or-white perspective, as they see the gray area in between. There is a curiosity in wanting to explore what is in between extremes, to gain the big picture and find the areas where we need more understanding and perhaps compromise. Women know that this is where life happens—the places in between.

TEDxWomen is a TEDx event organized by the Paley Center for Media that focuses on women and women's issues. TEDxWomen type events are TEDx events hosted around the live webcast of TEDxWomen, and also feature local speakers. Our event is called TEDxSouthLakeUnionWomen and is one of many TEDx events happening around the globe between November 30th and December 1st that will expand on the ideas brought up at TEDxWomen.

At our TEDxSouthLakeUnion event, we will watch a webcast of TEDxWomen speakers , and we will also feature local speakers (local speakers to be announced soon).
