Critical Crossroads:

TEDXReset adventure began in Turkey - Istanbul in 2010. The first year’s concept was “RESETting our minds”. It was 2011 when we decided to question all that we know, all of our assumptions, all of the rules we live by, all of our beliefs; and hence, the concept of 2011 was “What If ?”. In 2012 the question on our minds was “Quo Vadis?” (Where Are you Heading?, and we listened to the stories of those who had the courage to start a journey, the perseverance to overcome the obstacles along the way and the audacity to came back to start new ones.

All around the world, in the Middle East, in our neighboring countries and in our own country there are sweeping winds of transformation. Ideas, forces, beliefs, societies, cultures, power structures, frontlines, sides they are all changing. And there is no way we can stop the time, change is imminent. This transformation is so rapid that sometimes we do not even get a chance to “stop”, “to think”, and “to understand the alternatives”, or “to choose”, until we create our own alternatives. Therefore, this time we feel we are at a much more “critical crossroads’, hence we have decided to make it this year’s concept.

In 2013 the fourth TEDxReset conference to be held in İstanbul, Turkey on April 12-13th, 2013. We will be welcoming our audience in much bigger, new venue (TIM Show Center, Istanbul) and have much wider range of content in 1.5 days with 32 TEDx talks and 5 entertainment performances. We will listen together to all advances, critical crossroads and different alternatives in technology, design, entertainment, national and international politics, and culture.
