In line with SMU’s philosophy of being “A Different U”, we wanted to showcase ideas from remarkable individuals who have defied all odds to achieve success in life, and/or have embarked on paths less travelled. Hence, we decided on the theme “Defying Logic” for our inaugural TEDx conference at SMU.
We wish to celebrate ideas and experiences that are out of the ordinary. Unconventional. Deviating from the norm. Different. It may not be a radical invention or revelation, but could be any idea or experience that could take the audience by surprise and promote change for the better. We encourage you to take emotional risks and to be as creative as possible.
Ultimately, we hope that all participants will leave the conference inspired and empowered to improve our collective future.
