Dr. Alex Keshavarzi is a particle physicist and a lecturer in the High Energy Physics group at the University of Manchester (UK). He is the recipient of a University Research Fellowship from the Royal Society, the oldest academy in the world, for his research in which he is attempting to discover new particles or forces needed to explain the great mysteries about the structure of our universe.Keshavarzi works on experiments based in the US and Europe, as well as publishing independent, high-profile theoretical physics research to complement his experimental work. He has led and managed critical components of the experiments he has worked on, and he and his colleagues' results from the Muon g-2 Experiment at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab, US) made global mainstream headlines. As well as searching for a deeper understanding of the universe around us, he has a passion for communicating science and sharing that deeper understanding with both scientists and non-scientists alike.
