Anthony Tan is the CEO, cofounder and chairman of Grab. By focusing on a hyperlocal business strategy and building strategic partnerships, he and his team transformed Grab from a taxi booking app to the leading super-app platform in Southeast Asia, providing everyday services that matter to consumers.Tan is at the forefront of the “Grab for Good” social impact program, which includes partnerships and initiatives to drive digital literacy, economic inclusion and the development of technology skills across Southeast Asia. He is passionate about servant leadership and serving others in his community. In his personal work, he also supports a range of causes in the region, including Transform Cambodia, which rescues and protects street children and offers them health care, education and life skills. He has a BA in economics and public policy from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
