Helianti Hilman is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Indonesia's rich food biodiversity, Indigenous wisdom and spiritual heritage. In 2008, she founded the company Javara to connect smallholder farmers and food producers with broader markets, focusing on sustainable access, heritage food branding and delivering unique food culture experiences. In 2017, she launched Seniman Pangan, a learning facility and business ecosystem mapping food biodiversity and building entrepreneurial capacity in rural and remote communities. Together, these initiatives elevate tens of thousands of farmers, foragers and fishers across Indonesia, producing more than 900 artisanal products and delivering a series of origin-specific, gastro-cultural experiences that embody the nation's cultural and ecological wealth.
