Brewer leads more than 450,000 colleagues as the CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance and member of the WBA Board of Directors. There she works to innovate alongside a constantly evolving healthcare industry and positively impact people around the world.

Prior to this, Brewer led Starbucks license stores and the global functions of marketing, technology, supply chain, product innovation and store development organizations. She served as president and CEO of Sam's Club and made history by becoming the first woman and first African American to lead a Walmart division. Brewer joined Walmart in 2006 as regional vice president and later became president of Walmart East, where her profit-and-loss responsibility exceeded 100 billion dollars. Prior to Walmart, she was with Kimberly-Clark Corp. for 22 years, starting as a scientist and ultimately serving as president of the Global Nonwovens Sector in 2004. She is a current director of Amazon and a former director of Lockheed Martin and Molson Coors Brewing Company. She has served on the Starbucks board of directors since March 2017.
