Sarah Longwell is a Republican political strategist whose work focuses on defending American democracy from the authoritarian threat posed by the MAGA movement. She has conducted hundreds of focus groups, making her a leading authority on messaging to center-right voters. She leads campaigns to elect pro-democracy candidates and defend democratic principles. As head of Defending Democracy Together, she ran campaigns in 2020 and 2022 supporting candidates who stand for democracy and the rule of law, including Republican Voters Against Trump.
