Yve Blake is best known as the creator of FANGIRLS , a musical which premiered in two Australian cities in 2019 and won the Sydney Theatre award for Best Mainstage Musical. She wrote the book, music and lyrics of FANGIRLS and is adapting it into a series with a production company in London.
Blake previously developed and presented her work at Griffin Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre, Belvoir, Soho Theatre, Southbank Centre, Old Vic New Voices, the National Theatre Studio and The Barbican. She is an alumni of the Royal Court Writers’ Programme and was the inaugural recipient of the ATYP Rebel Wilson Theatre-maker scholarship. She has also been a visiting artist at Princeton University.
